After the previous post on R. Wallace's inspiring sketches of stream offsets along the San Andreas Fault, I continue with some of his sketches on normal fault scarps (inspiring too !). In several papers, Wallace specifically addressed the issue of scarp degradation after earthquake surface ruptures (1915 earthquake in Nevada, and 1959 Hebgen Lake earthquake), as well as the shape and evolution of cumulative fault scarps.
